Sugarloaf Pet Gardens

Final needs in a serene setting at the foot of Sugarloaf Mountain.

A caring and peaceful place for the pets families have loved.

Sugarloaf Pet Gardens is a cemetery for beloved pets, complete with sanctuary and other services. We are dedicated to providing caring support when families are suffering the loss of a pet and are ready to provide funeral services, cremation services, and a scenic cemetery for dignified burial and perpetual care.

We respect and admire the devotion families feel for the pets who have given them unconditional love, companionship, lessons for our children, and the warm comfort we remember when we need it most. Funeral services help families cope with deep emotions and move toward the first steps of recovery from loss.

The Gardens offer a peaceful setting to commune with nature, revisit memories, and return to a place that feels calm and respectful.

The Rainbow Bridge

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

That sense of reunion and remembrance has long been part of how Sugarloaf Pet Gardens helps families think about grief, love, and the bond they still carry with a beloved pet.

A sanctuary shaped by memory, nature, and long-term care.

Your pet will rest peacefully with the dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, parrots, iguanas, horses, and many others memorialized by their loving families at Sugarloaf Pet Gardens. The grounds offer a beautiful setting to commune with nature, relive precious memories, and visit graveside with your pet in the days or years to come.

Eleven hundred evergreen trees have been planted to line the five-acre cemetery, which contains 30,000 plots. Whether you are visiting because your family has immediate need or because you are thinking ahead, the Gardens remain a place where care, dignity, and permanence matter.

Founder Clifford Neal

A treasury of memories cared for by the Neal family.

"I've never done anything in my life where people are so appreciative of what we've done. People say, 'I don't know what we would have done with our baby if you weren't here.'"

Founder Clifford Neal described the cemetery as a treasury of memories. He believed the work mattered because it helped grieving families feel that their pets were honored with dignity and compassion.

Clifford Neal passed away suddenly in 2008 at the age of 92 while on his way to welcome a grieving pet owner. His son, Jerry, and the extended Neal family continue to operate the Gardens in the same caring and respectful manner the family has shown in the community for decades.

We are here when you need help or want to plan ahead.
